Leaving on a Jet Plane

Do you ever feel like you have to leave the country to get a real break from work? (It doesn’t help that my iPhone may as we’ll be surgically attached to my hand.) But when I’m overseas, my iPhone stays in the bottom of my duffel and doesn’t even come out when cute foreign boys invite me to foam parties.

Well, I need a break so I’m going to spend 2 weeks in Ireland and Northern Spain in June. SO – where should I go? What should I do? Dear readers, please tell me!

Also, if any of you would like to get together and show me the local scenery while I’m there, please email me (all my info is on the contact page). I’d love to meet you and explore the wonders of your home together!

Just please don’t drug or kidnap me – my family doesn’t have any ransom money and I’m a total whiner if I am not fed regularly. Also I don’t know anything about soccer, which probably makes me a really disappointing hostage. (Though I do love Jonathan Rhys-Meyers and he played a soccer player in a film once.)

  1. This is amazing and I am completely and totally jealous! I have wanted to go to Spain and Ireland FOREVER, but my visiting my large and farflung family has hijacked all of my vacations for the past 3 years (although don’t cry for me Argentina because one of these family missions involved going to actual Argentina).

Next year, everyone will be married, everyone will be graduated, and no one will be studying abroad. So take really good notes on your trip, because I’m going to replicate it all.
