The Fallen 9000
In case you didn’t see it last week, I thought I’d share this really powerful project from UK artists Jamie Wardley and Andy Moss. To commemorate International Peace Day and all those who died during the D-Day beach landings in 1944, they stenciled 9,000 silhouettes into the sand at Arromanches in Northern France. The Fallen 9000, as it is called, only lasted a few hours before being washed away by the sea. It’s really striking, isn’t it?
