My Pops and Me

My Pops and Me

Happy Father’s Day Weekend, everyone!  I’ve always loved this photo of my dad holding a tiny baby me – everything about it is SO 1970′s – the carpet-covered floor pillow, the furniture, and oh those jeans!!

What do you have planned this weekend?

Your Junk Drawer awaits:

50 Rules for Dads of Daughters (via Cupcakes and Cashmere).  #21 and #36 are especially true for me.

Reason number 4,827 I love New York – the subway ballet.

The happiest places (Disneyland is not on the list) on earth and why.

The first comic book for the blind!

A 500 year-old suspension bridge made entirely of grass.  Would you cross it?!

I love the trailer for Season 2 of Newsroom!

Winning words from the National Spelling Bee.  Note the words for 1936 and 1937 – a little presidential foreshadowing?

Can the Johnny Cash stamp save the US Postal Service?

10 unusual terms of endearment!

Bad Lip Reading is a guaranteed laugh every time.

The 20 people you encounter during summer.

  1. The rest of the story. We are watching Wimbleton. He is talking to David Robb. Next picture is David holding you up to TV saying learn to play tennis, become a pro and make your parents rich. You did do tennis camp. But you found other interests. On the bottom shelf of bookcase sat my Hungary travel book. You didn’t become a tennis pro but you did finally get me to Hungary! That was even better.
